30/7/2014 0 Comments No Game No Life? Perhaps?Oh man, it's been a really long while hasn't it people? Sorry for all the delays on behalf of other admins as well. But it's not that easy to do all these. Worry not, this site will be up and running once more. To start off, we're gonna do a non-spoiling review on one of the most recent anime, No Game No Life (ノーゲームノーライフ). Apparently this is a story about a pair of siblings, Sora and Shiro, who have extraordinary skills when it comes to gaming. When rumors and urban legends started to spread out about their skills (their avatars are called 'Blanks' due to empty account name), a mysterious message was sent to them. After a game of chess, they're dragged into a new world where everything was run and handled by games, from simple and classic to modern and complex games. Thus, began their adventures within this new world called Disboard! Well the colours were nice, watching in HD made it even better. I just finished the first season last weekend thanks to my roommate (sharing is caring, right? Right!?). I hate to say but the cliff hanger on the last episode for this season was too 'hanging' to shake it off. Plotting aside, the ideology of dominance by intelligence was pretty similar to our reality (But I agree to Sora where this world is a game for masochist, if you know what I mean.). These concepts just rings back to Shin Megami Tensei series (can't believe I actually mentioned another series here, oh man Kuromi you've gone rusty.). I haven't read the light novel yet, which is totally unorthodox of my otaku routine! Kidding, I just haven't got the time due to my college life now (I am forced to socialize, FORCED!). When I found Kurami covered the front cover for one of the volumes. I had to get one. Last time I ordered a cell phone stand of her the shipping was a fraud (curse you, cheap sites!) But this is an anime review, so let's get on shall we? Back on track, I've gone rusty in writing haven't I? Probably I've become best buddies with my right hand... It's not what you think, really. Ahuehue. Graphics aside, soundtracks were thrilling as well. I still remember they used Phoenix Wright's - Objection theme when Sora challenged Kurami on her coronation. I did NOT see that coming. In the end, I laughed my ass off. The outcomes of the events were totally unpredictable, last minute twist by writer? Perhaps, perhaps not. I'm no writer, so yeah. So aside from excessive plot twist (or maybe I'm just too slow on catching the drift), the anime is almost par with Gargantia for visuals, on par with Naruto (maybe) on the soundtracks. In a nutshell, it's hell of an anime. You ain't no sheet what you're missing here, go ahead and watch this piece of great work. My personal view gave it 4/5. Remember... ASCHENTE!!!
